The Zadro is small and folds closed like a small flip cell phone. It can easily fit in a pocket or your purse.
The Zadro only has one button that you press and hold for about 10 seconds. The purple light will come on along with a Red LCD light to let you know that it's working.
All you need to do is simply hold the light over an object like a phone, toilet seat, keyboard, etc for 10 seconds and the unit is supposed to kill all of the germs.
Unfortuately, since I'm not a scientist, I really cannot tell if germs are being killed.

| This is a great item to have now that the swine flu is so prevalent in NYC. I have not yet used it on the subway, but have used it on supermarket cart handle, computer keyboard, work telephone and my remote controls. It is very compact and looks just like a cell phone. I will be using it on the silverware next time I dine out. |

Unfortunately, the product worked intermittently for the first week or so then it stopped working altogether. I was pleased that it was powerful enough to do it's job in 10 seconds and had hoped to use this product for many years. Don't know if this was typical of this product or just with the one I received.
