UV Purifiers use a sterilizing process know as Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI). This is a well known sterilization method that uses ultraviolet (UV) light at certain wavelengths to break down germs & viruses.[1] It is used in a variety of applications in the home, in hospitals, and other sensitive areas, for air, water and food purification. UV has been a known mutagen at the cellular level for more than 100 years. The 1903 Nobel Prize for Medicine was awarded to Niels Finsen for his use of UV against tuberculosis.[2]
Using a UV Purifier in certain environments like circulating air systems or home water systems creates a deadly effect on micro-organisms such as pathogens, viruses and molds that are in these environments. Coupled with a filtration system, UV Purifiers can remove harmful micro-organisms from these environments.
The application of UV Purifers to sterilization has been an accepted practice since the mid-20th century. It has been used primarily in medical sanitation and sterile work facilities. Increasingly it was employed to sterilize drinking and wastewater, as the holding facilities were enclosed and could be circulated to ensure a higher exposure to the UV. Lately UV Purifers have been popular in homes for air sanitization, especially during the recent flu and foodborn illness outbreaks.

Yeah…we will lack of real clean water because of people don’t care these days.
UV–Purifiers the only way to keep your water clean, clean water–clean air–and food purification,uv light at certain wavelenghts,to brak down germs &viruses, wow how can ya beat that, only real way to stay clean in the house, use UV Purifiers, the only way to go?
Just another way to make our lives healthier. I have a reverse osmosis water system but his sounds even better. For information on other health issues visit Quick Steps to Health
Hello. UV purification seems like an interesting concept. We all need help in this polluted world.
I look forward to learning more about UV purifiers in the future.
Cheers!

UV Purifiers: great method for removing harmful micro-organisms
Thanks for this. I didn’t know anything about using ultraviolet light as a purifier so this has been useful and I will check out some of your other posts.
I like the idea of using non-chemical maens to purify. Theses devices seem to be a great way to keep things sterile.
Sounds interesting but anytime technology uses waves to change the structure of the natural water – I am cautious.
Sounds like a good system. I have Asthma, thanks
I have been looking at this type of air purifier for quite some time but have not purchased one yet. I keep waiting. After reading about lots of different air purifiers I believe this is the way to go. It just makes the most sense.
